About this place
A light sushi lunch, or sushi with noodles on the side? At Hokkai Sushi, the lunchtime menu makes it easy to choose according to your appetite. Nigiri with udon and nigiri with soba are both 830 yen. These combinations are a convenient way to make a meal without ordering everything separately. One diner who tried nigiri with zaru soba or zaru udon described the noodles as refreshing and said the sushi featured familiar favourites. Another reviewer praised the variety of sashimi in the sashimi set, which cost less than 1,000 yen.
For sushi at the centre of the meal, the nigiri set costs 825 yen and the assorted set 755 yen. One diner particularly liked that the assorted set came with akamiso soup, but said it had sold out that day, so they chose the nigiri set instead. You can also order individual pieces: horse mackerel, sea bream and yellowtail are listed at 110 yen each, while vinegared mackerel costs 130 yen and sea urchin or salmon roe 150 yen. Ordering à la carte lets you build a meal around the fish you prefer.
The menu also includes a fish set meal, tekkadon (tuna rice bowl) and sukeroku udon, all listed as lunch-only options. With sushi-and-noodle sets, sashimi and rice bowls to choose from, the menu can suit different lunchtime appetites. Several diners describe the dining room as small, and one account mentions stopping in for a quick solo meal. Some reviewers say ordering or service took time, so this may be a better choice when you have a little time to spare than during a rushed lunch break.
